Care
Keep the print sharp, wash after wash
- Turn it inside outFlip the garment before it goes in the machine — keeps agitation and friction off the print surface.
- Cold waterWash cold. Hot water fades the fabric and weakens the print's adhesive bonds over time — cold is better for the whole shirt, not just the print.
- Mild detergentSkip bleach and optical brighteners — both break down DTF ink over time. A standard dye-free liquid detergent is all you need.
- Gentle cycleUse the delicate/gentle cycle. High-agitation cycles stress any print; gentle cleans without the extra wear.
- Skip fabric softenerSoftener leaves a film that interferes with the ink-to-fiber bond over repeated washes (and cuts moisture-wicking). Leave it out for any printed garment.
- Dry low or hangHigh heat is the fastest way to crack a print. Hang or lay flat to dry, or tumble on low / no heat.
- Hand wash for best resultsFor the longest life — detailed artwork or garments you want to keep pristine — hand wash in cool water. No agitation, no heat, no friction. Not required for everyday wear, just the gold standard when it matters.
What nurses say.
Highly recommend the shirts from Scrubs and Steel. The quality of the fabric is top notch and feels like it will last a long time and you will enjoy every time you put it on. The design is also fantastic! Sizing was spot on as well.
